  • Homemakers who take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming home environment
  • Individuals who are punctual, dependable, and professional in every interaction
  • People who communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and family members
  • Those who understand and respect client privacy, boundaries, and dignity at all times

What You Should Know Before Applying

Independent Contractor Status

All caregivers who work with Home Care Services of South Florida do so as independent contractors, not employees. You are responsible for managing your own taxes. You will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year if applicable. This arrangement gives you flexibility in scheduling while allowing us to maintain our commitment to consistent, high-quality care.

Background Screening

All contractors are required to complete a background screening prior to beginning any client assignment. This is a non-negotiable requirement and is in place to protect the safety and well-being of the clients we serve. We take client safety seriously and we expect every member of our team to do the same.

Scope of Services and AHCA Compliance

Home Care Services of South Florida is registered with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration as a Homemaker and Companion Services provider. This means we provide non-medical support only. All contractors must understand and comply with the boundaries established under our AHCA registration. We do not provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, toileting, or medication assistance, and our contractors must never perform services outside that scope.

Professionalism Standards

Every contractor is expected to arrive on time, maintain a professional appearance, and uphold the values of Home Care Services of South Florida during every client visit. You are representing our company and our clients are depending on you. We set a high bar and we support our contractors in meeting it.

Typical Assignments

Assignments vary in length and frequency depending on client needs. Some clients require a few hours of support a week while others benefit from daily visits. We do our best to match contractors with assignments that fit their schedule and skill set. You will never be pressured to accept an assignment that does not work for you.
