Getting Started

Getting Started With Home Care Services of South Florida

We understand that researching home care for yourself or a loved one can feel overwhelming. There are a lot of questions, a lot of options, and often a sense of urgency. We have designed our process to be simple, personal, and pressure-free from the very first conversation.

Here is exactly what you can expect when you reach out to us.

Our Simple 4-Step Process

Step 1: Free In-Home Consultation

Every relationship begins with a complimentary in-home consultation at no cost and with no obligation. During this visit, we take time to get to know you or your loved one personally. We ask about daily routines, preferences, likes, dislikes, and any specific needs or concerns. We answer all of your questions, walk through exactly how our services work, and make sure you feel comfortable before we discuss anything further. This visit is about you, not about us.

Step 2: Personalized Care Plan

Based on our consultation, we develop a customized care plan tailored specifically to the client’s needs. Per Florida AHCA regulations governing homemaker and companion services, our care plans document the following:

  • Client name and emergency contact information
  • Services to be provided and the agreed schedule
  • Dietary restrictions and food preferences
  • Activity preferences or limitations
  • Visit frequency and expected duration
  • Special household preferences and notes

Care plans are not static documents. We review and update them as your needs or circumstances change.

Step 3: Service Agreement

BBefore any services begin, we walk through a service agreement together. This document outlines the scope of services, the agreed schedule, our responsibilities, and yours. We want every family to feel fully informed and completely comfortable before we begin. There are no surprises.

Step 4: Services Begin

Once the care plan and agreement are in place, services begin on the agreed schedule. We maintain open, ongoing communication with clients and with designated family members throughout the entire relationship. If something needs to change, we address it promptly and work together to find the right solution.

Can family members receive updates about their loved one?

Yes. With the client’s written consent, we maintain regular communication with designated family members. We actively encourage family involvement and consider it an important part of the care relationship.

How quickly can services begin?

We work to schedule your free in-home consultation as quickly as possible. In many cases, services can begin within a few days of completing the consultation and signing the service agreement.

What if our needs change over time?

We expect that needs will evolve and we are prepared to adjust. Care plans are reviewed regularly and can be updated at any time. If your situation requires a higher level of care than we are licensed to provide, we will be honest with you about that and help you identify the right resources.
